Dr. Snyder began her career in the liberal arts, earning her Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by a Master’s degree in film and video from The American University in Washington, DC. After completing her Ph.D., she taught English and English as a Second Language for several years before embarking on a new career in veterinary medicine.

She completed her degree at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and has worked exclusively at specialty practices since graduation, allowing her to collaborate with and learn from specialists in emergency and critical care, surgery, internal medicine, neurology, and others.

In her spare time, Dr. Snyder enjoys traveling, fiber arts (knitting, crochet, tatting, and spinning), and spending time in local cafes.

She will admit to being owned by a sketchy cattle dog, a beagle mix, and a domestic shorthair.
